Body and how we look at clothing...

Haesel posted an interesting post to her blog I feel too nervous to wear suspenders in public about wearing suspenders in public, and memories of suspenders. I am including it here despite the fact that I don't know how she likes to licence her blog....

I feel too nervous to wear suspenders in public
Too bad... Because I have such positive associations from childhood (pre-9 y.o.) about them. Recently I keep thinking about an event from when I was somewhere between 5-7 y.o. and my Grandma had bought a wonderful set of rainbow suspenders with a matching belt, all rolled up in a transparent plastic case... They were for me to give to another girl at a birthday party I was going to. And I wanted them so much I cried and tried to convince her to give them to me and felt so terrible that she wanted me to give away the most wonderful gift I'd ever seen or ever wanted... I still want them! Anyway, I was scratching around today, trying to find a belt for these jeans (they've been worn so many times without washing that they've become really loose around the waist- yuck!) Anyway, then I went to Toumbi's closet and found THESE!
